Irvin Embalsado is a Filipino chemist, engineer, and theater enthusiast whose fascination with science and storytelling eventually converged in A Particular Boy Among Air Particles, his debut fantasy novel.

He began writing stories and poetry in 2005, winning a school poetry competition the following year, before spending much of his later life between laboratories, stages, and corporate spaces. Long before this novel existed in its current form, the name Xhasenthor had already appeared in unfinished stories and earlier attempts at building worlds.

While pursuing his MBA in Rotterdam, reading dozens of fantasy novels and thrillers finally inspired him to return to a dream he had carried for nearly twenty years. 

His work is shaped by a lifelong love for stories, curiosity about how things function, and the belief that wonder and understanding are never truly separate.
